My Wife Is A Sword
A downloadable game
Full title (Itch wouldn't accept the full thing):
My Wife Is A Sword And I Got Her Pregnant Now She's Having Strange Cravings That Can Only Be Sated By The Blood Of Evil In A Dungeon That Mysteriously Appeared Behind Our House But I Can Only Stay In For Thirty Seconds At A Time Or Else The Deadly Miasma Will Corrode My Soul And Kill Me?!
A short action game about a guy and his magic sword wife dealing with monsters in a cave that mysteriously sprang up in their backyard. You have 30 seconds per level to clear the monsters. Gamplay sort of inspired by top-down Zelda games.
Controls during cutscenes:
-Z to advance text
-You can press the Q key twice to skip
Controls during dungeon segments:
-Arrow keys to move
-Z to swing sword

Known bugs:
-HP - visual bug with hearts UI. Sometimes taking damage will cause the hearts to drain incorrectly. HP is still correctly tracked under the hood.
-Potential softlock - If you run into an enemy hitbox on the same frame it dies, Hunter may freeze in the 'take damage' animation. If you wait for time to run out you can press Y to restart, so the freeze isn't fatal.
-Attack bug - during the boss in level 5 if you take damage from the boss you may be unable to swing your sword. If you wait a couple seconds the bug will resolve itself and you can continue attacking.
-GAME OVER text after restart bug - sometimes after dying and restarting the GAME OVER text will appear immediately and prompt you to restart even though you can play normally. You can restart again to resolve it.
It's jank but it was playable front to back during testing. Also I ran out of time so the final cutscenes are kind of rushed. I hope you enjoy!

That was a really... weird concept. But, it was actually pretty cool. I liked the story, it was sweet and the whole sword-girl thing was very well written, all things considered.
